Our family lives on the Big Island, Hawaii and got into the horse community last year. We found it difficult here in the islands to find a suitable horse for our two young daughters. We wanted a safe, sane, sound and suitable gelding that was appropriate for our 8 and 10 year old daughters beginners skills, but one they could also grow with. After coming up short finding what we were looking for in the islands, we expanded our search to the mainland. I found Christine through a web search and also saw her horses on Dream Horse and gave her a call. Christine was accommodating, warm and really listened to our list of what we were looking for. She had several horses at that time that could have been a good fit but one in particular, Ringo an 11 year old AQHA registered grullo gelding, she thought would be the best fit for us. It was difficult to plan since most horses that we were looking at sell very quickly to people that are close enough to go see the horses in person. I wasn't comfortable buying a horse sight unseen or without a vet check. Christine explained her warranty (if you aren't satisfied with your horse at any time, she will take them back and re-sell) and encouraged (without being pushy) for me to consider purchasing this horse sight unseen since there were several others interested in and ready to buy him. She helped coordinate a vet check. Although she doesn't "hold" horses, she extends the courtesy of holding a horse once a vet check has been scheduled pending the outcome. She took ample time and quickly responded to all my questions, phone calls, texts etc. Dr. Benson from Rogue Equine Hospital performed the vet check and he spoke with me over the phone before and after. He was thorough and specific about the results of the check. Ringo seemed like a perfect fit for us so we purchased him sight unseen! Christine kept Ringo as a boarder until we could come 3 weeks later to spend time with and ride him. He was everything as advertised. Our 8 year old hopped up on him and he took such good care of her. He was very broke, gentle and beautifully trained for our needs. Christine helped coordinate the hauling and shipping components of his travel to Hawaii. He arrived here (he is now called Dorado) and in the two months we have had him been a fantastic trail, AQHA show in trail, walk/jog, horsemanship and even a polo pony. He is willing, gentle and does everything we have asked of him without hesitation. In his former life he was a finished heel horse, so we will also try him out in different rodeo disciplines. I would recommend Christine and Precision Horse Training to anyone searching. The integrity of someone that will guarantee her horses the way she does says volumes about the quality of the horses she brings in and the time she spends assessing the horses before she puts them up for sale.
